The weekend event begins on Friday, October 18th, at 1 p.m. with registration and a vendor village full of cool shit going on all day including contests, giveaways, and so much more. Friday night after everyone has checked in and gotten comfortable, dinner is served under a huge circus tent.
5am Saturday morning hot coffee and fresh of the griddle pancakes which can be piled with all the “fixins” are served to racers and their families to fuel up for the long day ahead.
The Vendor Village begins their set up at 11:30 a.m. which is located around the finish line. Spectators can cheer on the racers from within the village.
Once the first racer (The winner) makes it to the finish line, around 1pm, the Saturday night party begins! Beer provided by at least four different local breweries will start flowing and a spectacular meal of barbecue, baked potatoes, and more ensues around (6pm). After the awards, the bonfire, hay rides, live music, and rowdiness begin. Besides the badass trail, this nighttime excitement is what the BT Epic is best known for besides the race itself!
On Sunday morning after breakfast is served a 10-mile shakeout ride takes place for anyone brave enough to face the trails one last time before farewells and “See you next year’s” are spoken.
